Toyota has brought back the well-liked Innova Crysta in the Indian market and is accepting pre-orders for the 2023 model for a deposit of Rs 50,000. The pricing for the updated Innova Crysta will be revealed in the near future. The new Innova Crysta will be sold alongside the recently introduced Innova Hycross. Note that the Crysta will now be available with diesel engine only, comes in four different versions, and there’s no option of automatic transmission.
Whats NEW?
The exterior design of the 2023 Innova Crysta remains mostly unchanged, but Toyota has revealed a slight refresh for the vehicle. To give it a more SUV-like appearance, the front of the Innova Crysta has been updated with a smaller, more prominent grille, a new, more upright front chin, and redesigned fog lamp enclosures. The side profile and alloy wheel design remain the same.
Single Engine on OFFER!
The previous version of the Innova Crysta, which was phased out in late 2022, was available with both petrol and diesel engine options. However, the 2023 model will only be offered with a diesel engine. It will continue to use the 2.4-litre diesel engine paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. There will be no automatic transmission available. This is the first time Toyota will sell two Innova models at the same time, the new Innova Crysta is diesel-only while the Innova Hycross comes with pure petrol and hybrid petrol powertrain options.
Variants and Features
The 2023 Innova Crysta will be available in four different trims: G, GX, VX and the top-spec ZX. The G, GX, and VX trims will come with either seven or eight seats, while the ZX will be a seven-seater only.
The 2023 Innova Crysta will have some new features. The MPV comes with a power-adjustable driver’s seat, multi-zone climate control, picnic tables for the second row, leather seats for higher variants with multiple color options, ambient lighting, and a one-touch tumble feature for the second-row seats. The infotainment system will be an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
As far as safety features go, the 2023 Innova Crysta comes with seven airbags, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, and hill start assist. Additionally, all Innova Crysta variants will now come with three-point seat belts as standard for all passengers.
